Ps 116:12-15 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.
14 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

We lost a very dear church member last evening, one the Lord sent to us while I was still young in the ministry and one who has been a great blessing to my wife and myself over the years. Most of those newer to our church are not aware of what she did over the years but she was a real blessings to us. When a born again believer passes from this life and steps into eternity I most often think of the above verses and praise God for His Son and the price Jesus paid for all on the cross. Salvation in Christ is the only thing that makes death precious and not only precious in the sight of the Lord but the believer in Christ as well. Are you saved today, are you born again, if your heart stopped beating today would your death be precious? Only if you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. My prayers go out this morning to the family but my thanks and praise go up to Jesus.
