Eph 2:19-2219 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
As Christians we are citizens of heaven. Think of that blessed truth for a moment and what it means. As citizens of the United States we have unprecedented freedoms but we also have responsibilities. Many want to claim the freedom of the United States and live apart from the responsibility. But that cannot be so. As citizens of this nation we live under the rules and laws of the nation. We also may be called upon to serve the nation. Just as citizens of heaven we have unprecedented freedom in Jesus Christ we also have responsibility. We are to live according to the laws of God and we most definitely are called to serve. Yet how many Christians want to claim the freedom in Christ and ignore the law of Christ. What is the law of Christ you ask? Am I going back to the Ten Commandments? No, but just read your Bible and you will see that there is a law we are to follow. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Just keep the commands of Jesus and we will find enough to do.
