Judg 7:19-20 So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.
KJV
The blowing of the trumpets, the breaking of the pitchers and the light shining our was followed by a message “The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.” The message was loud, it was clear, and it was to the point. We need be shining a light today, we need be sounding an alarm, but they do little good if a loud, clear, and to the point message does not follow. I received a phone call the other day from an individual who needed something but would never come to the point. Finally they said “Let me just tell you what I want.” If they had done that in the beginning we would not have wasted twenty minutes on the phone. Their problem was they were embarrassed to ask me if I would do a certain thing for them. My point here is that we need a loud, clear and to the point message that many will not bring today for one reason or another. Where are the voice of reason today, where are the ones who will point out the wrongs being done? They have disappeared from government and society because they disappeared from the pulpits of America. It is time to being back the loud, clear and to the point message that is needed.
