Ps 103:1-6
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
It is a fact that we will often count the blessings of God in the lives of others. (Verse 2) That we will remember how God saved the three in the furnace, shut the mouths of the lions, closed the door to the ark, fed the prophet, gave the increase of oil and so on. And it is good to remember those things. But we ought to count the ways God has blessed, protected, and provided for us as well. Is the hand of God in any way less for us than it was for them? I think not. Stop today and things of all His benefits toward you. It will give you strength for the day.
