Daily Devotions

Ps 139:1-6 O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Who is the one that can determine the good or the evil, determine the worth of an individual? That one is the Lord. I look at all that is happening in this world today and wonder just how many people Satan controls. Most of them are not Satanic but are certainly under Satanic control. But then I look at myself and wonder just how much of me Satan controls. I am not Satanic, I am a born again believer, I have repented, I have turned to Christ, Satan does not own me. But even now I wonder how much I allow Satan to influence me? The rioters are being influenced each evening as they destroy that which can help them, of that we can be sure. But do I allow through TV, the PC, social media and other avenues things into my life that can do equal harm? I am sure that I do so the challenge in my life that the Lord has laid upon my heart is to stop and ask Him to search and know me and show me the things I need to put out of my life so I will not be influenced by Satan, so that I can walk in the knowledge of His will.
