1 Thess 5:23-25
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
25 Brethren, pray for us.
A call for prayer this morning. Pray is essential to Christian life but to Christian service as well. Paul is calling for other to pray, but not pray for self, not pray for the illness that has come upon someone they love, not pray for the world, or the lost. Those need to be prayed for, but Paul is calling the Christian to pray for him. It is a truth that your pastor needs your prayers. Missionaries need your prayers. Evangelist need your prayers. You need to be praying for those God has called into what we refer to as “full time service for the Lord.” As a pastor I need your prayers. Let this ne a reminder to all of God to pray for those God has called. In a spiritual fight a person needs spiritual power and that comes through prayer and praying saints.
