KJV
Two simple words begin this verse “Hear me”. But how they are used tells a greater story. How many times have we used these same words in prayer, even if we don’t say them we mean them, “Hear me now Lord, hear me swiftly Lord and answer my prayers.” All of my prayers are offered up in that spirit as I want the Lord to hear and answer me speedily. Yet am I as quick to hear God, to listen to the voice of God? God wants me to hear Him just as I want God to hear me. (James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:) I will spend much time in prayer this morning. But how much time listening to God? And what I hear from God will I choose to obey?
