Daily Devotions
May 22nd, 2020 by Pastor SolleyActs 10:1-4 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Above is the last pace the word memorial is found in the Bible and I take great comfort in it. Here we find a man who prayed always. The Bible records the prayers of many people and although the prayers of this man are not recorded for us we do find one who heard and remember them all. There was a memorial of his prayers before God. What a blessings that is, to know that our prayers are remembered in heaven. There are things that I pray for daily and I remember those prayers. But there are things I prayed for ten, fifteen, twenty years ago that I don’t recall. But those prayers, even the ones from so very long ago have not be forgotten by God. What a great comfort to know that my prayers, your prayers are remembered in heaven. I now wonder how many prayers have been answered in God’s time and in God’s way that I forgot I prayed for?
