Ps 62:5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
KJV
What are your expectations in life? I hear from many political candidates today what my expectations should be. It is the right of all people to have free health care, free college education, equal wages for all, to share the wealth of the rich. The liberal tells me what I should expect, but should I expect those things or work for them? What are your expectations? If your expectations are in any way not focused on the Lord you are going to be very disappointed in life. And what should I expect from the Lord? Nothing until I was saved and everything good and precious after I was saved. The blessings of God will not be given in material things but in spiritual and they will greatly surpass anything this world has to offer. Make your expectations focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and His blessings.
