2 Cor 7:5-6 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

Paul, like every Christian had times of discouragement, times when he felt cast down. But Paul unlike many Christians was able to keep going on for the Lord through those times How? He relied on the Lord to be his comfort, to be his encouragement. Here in our text the Lord used another man to comfort Paul. When Titus arrived on the scene it was a great comfort and encouragement to Paul. My point today is that perhaps the Lord could use you to be a comfort to others who are feeling cast down. Perhaps a phone call, a card sent in the mail, a short visit, in one way or another God could use you to be a comfort to one who is feeling cast down. I visited with one in the hospital the other day, a short visit, a Word of prayer, a portion of Scripture, I did very little. Yet as I was leaving I heard “You never will know how much this means.” We can do a lot even if it seems a little when we are used to comfort another.
