Matt 19:13-1513 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children , and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
What a wonderful thought, that we can be touched by the hand of God. (Verse 15) These little children were brought to Jesus and He touched them. Interesting that the disciples rebuked those that brought them, I would think parents, as if Jesus had no time for them. But here we see the heart of Jesus for children. We are finishing up our summer VBS the next two days and we have been blessed with a good week. We have students numbering 53,54,53 for the first three days and much help. But I wonder how many children would have come, would love to have come if their parents would have just made an effort. Yes we have most all of our young people and even teens. There are 17 in the teen class. But if people would just make more of an effort to get others to attend how much greater it would. Trend like this, indifference, trouble me. I wonder how much more it troubles Jesus? We need to bring others to Jesus so they can feel the hand of God.
