Amos 4:12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

We take the time to prepare for most things. I heard for eight weeks it seemed people asking “Are your ready for Christmas?” They were asking if I was prepared. I spent many hours cutting, splitting and stacking wood late in the fall. Why? So I would be prepared for the cold this winter. We prepare for many things, why not be prepared to meet God? That is a reality that few people prepare for, that we will meet God one day. God told Israel through the prophet Amos what He was going to do, almost when He was going to do it, yet they never prepared themselves. We know today what God, what Jesus is going to. Jesus Christ is coming a second time to this earth and this time in judgment. We know what He is going to do and while we do not know the date we know many things about when He is coming. Still most people will not be prepared. What about you this morning, are your prepared to stand before God? This a look into what will be preached this coming Sunday at Cherry Corner.
