21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.
6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh , so that all that hear will laugh with me.The word laugh is not used many times in the Bible, only 18. And for the most part it is used in a negative way. But here in Gen 21 we see Sarah was made to laugh by God. She was made to laugh because God had fulfilled a promise made to her and Abraham many years before. Sarah had a son, a promised son. Here is one thing to laugh about Christian, to be happy about. God always keeps His promises. When overcome by worries and fears, when the storms of trial are about you, remember God always keeps His promises. He has promised to never leave us, to never forsake us, to hear us when we cry unto Him, and to meet our needs. God never breaks His Word, God always keeps His promises. Smile today, laugh today.
