December 12th, 2019 by Pastor SolleyHab 3:1-6 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

Here we find the prophet in prayer before God and he makes a very profound statement in verse six, “His ways are everlasting.” If we could only hang onto that truth every moment of every day it would make a great difference in our lives. God is eternal, his Word is eternal, His character unchanging, His ways perfect, His power unlimited, and this is everlasting. If I believe that then why not just turn ever area of my life, every decision I have to make, every problem I face over to Him? We do need do our pat, we need to follow His Word, but why not seek His direction in all things all the time? If His ways are everlasting that is the best thing I could ever do. Let us follow the truth that is found in the prayer of the prophet, His ways are everlasting.
