3 But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.
5 And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord.

There are some who will not do the work required for revival and that becomes a hindrance to revival. Were the nobles above the work that was to be done? Could they not lend a hand? Whatever the reason they put not their necks to the work. Now the work of revival is mostly spiritual but if they would not do the physical work to restore the city would they be equally lacking in the spiritual? I think so. What of today, how many are willing to do the work of revival? What if the whole church fasted and prayed for revival? What if the whole church repented and confessed before God? What if all were given to the work of revival? Would that make a difference? When some are not willing to do the work of revival it places a greater burden on others and hinders revival.
