Daily devotions

Matt 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
KJV
We need to be praying on a daily and consistent basis for God’s will to be done. Why? Because in the short or long run that will be best for us. That is not always easy to be seen as we pray for others, for ourselves and for the different situations that come up in our lives. How could dealing with a serious illness be best? How could the loss of loved ones be best? How could the answer no to specific prayers be best? I have and will experience again all three of those areas in my life, how could that be best? I don’t know. What I do know is that God is in heaven and not me. What I do know is that God knows all things and not me. What I do know is that God does all things well and not me. What I do know is that I am to surrender my will to His and ask at all times for His will to be done.
