2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.

The 27th Psalm is one of my favorites. I sat this morning in the early hours and looked out at the darkness and this Psalm came to mind. Even in our darkest hours as believers in Christ He is able to give us light, He is our light, He is my light. No need to fear even the darkness because Jesus is our light. After a time I turned on a light and could see all that was around me and so it is with our Lord when we seek Him in His Word, when we talk to him in prayer, all becomes light about us. Make Him your desire dear friend, inquire of the Lord, consider all that He has done for you and all that He is able to do and you will find the darkest of nights filled with his light.
