Ps 48:1-3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

Our God is a refuge. Where do we turn when trouble arises. When sick, go to a doctor. When in financial need, seek a loan. When lonely, seek friends. Need advice, seek wise counsel. Nothing wrong with any of those things, but seek God first. God still heals, still provides, is closer than a brother, and is the wise counselor. Nothing wrong at all with seeking those things but be sure to seek God first and always, make Him your refuge. Even now as I undergo some medical tests I wait first for a healing. I don’t deserve a healing, am not demanding one, but I know God can and does heal, so why not seek Him first? We had a chimney go bad on our house, it was costly to repair, we had the work done, but prayed about it first, sought the Lord to provide. Now the work was done a few months ago and I found out just yesterday it will be paid for, God has replaced the money we put out. Why not seek God first, He is beautiful for every situation.
