Luke 23:23-26 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

The loudest voices are not always the right voices to listen to, very often they are the wrong voices to listen to. The voices of the chief priests did prevail, they did drown out the voices of the disciples, Pilate did sentence Jesus to the cross. But those were not the right voices to listen to and I wonder how many people are in hell right now because they listened to those loud voices and ignored Jesus Christ? There are many loud voices in our nation today, but they are not the voices one wants to listen to. They scream about a woman’s right to choose to murder her baby. They scream about how much better our society will be if we legalize drugs. The scream how dangerous people are who believe the Bible and trust in Jesus. There are many loud voices today and just like in Jesus’ day they are not good voices to follow, they are leading to destruction. In the Bible when God speaks to an individual it is most always in a still small voice. It is time to tune out the loud voices and listen for the voice of God.
