6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

No voice of opposition from Jesus as He was taken to the cross. He never called out “Unfair, I don’t deserve this, how can you do this to me?” Jesus never said those things although He had a right to say them. He who knew no sin became sin, that is unfair. The one who came because he loved was being sent to a cross, He didn’t deserve that. The one who came only to seek and to save, how could they do that to Him? So many times today even we as Christians call out about the unfairness of this life, wonder why things come upon us that we don’t think we deserve, and we ask out loud “Why me?” We need to be more like Jesus in this, not to complain to God and before the world, but to just be content to seek God’s will for out lives and to serve Him even though things are not what we might want them to be. The point this morning is not just that Jesus was a silent sufferer, but that He always walked in the will of the Father, was always faithful, and always served without complaint. Do we?
