13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
KJV
It is impossible to walk a straight line, a straight path, without having a fixed object in view and even then it is very difficult. The next time there is a fresh snow, I hope it is many, many months away, try walking a straight path while looking down at the ground or keeping your eyes closed. When you look back you will find you weaved back and forth several times. Then fix your eyes on an object ahead and walk toward it while not taking your eyes off it. You will find you walked a straight path. As we make our way through this life as believers in Christ we must have a fixed object in view, something, someone who will not be moved. That object is Jesus Christ, we must fix our eyes on Christ. A straight path is always an easier path to follow. Are you weary today, are your hands hanging down? Are you lame, is there a problem with your walk? Fix your eyes on Jesus Christ alone and begin to walk a straight path.
