Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

One needs to be careful about the way he or she thinks about sin. Because of society, because of a lack of preaching, because of our own tender hearts we often think lightly of sin and we forget that God never does. Take some things seen as sin at its worst a few generations ago that are seen in a different light today. Fornication comes to mind. Does the Bible give a light view of fornication? Of course not, but it seems the church does today. Homosexuality. Does the Bible give a light view of homosexuality? Of course not, but the world does and it seems in some cases the church is following the world. Those two examples stand out, but little sins matter as well. Has God changed His mind on lying? Has God changed His mind on profanity? Be careful of your view of sin, it is still exceedingly sinful.
