Do you remember when your father told you to do something and you knew it had to be done or there would be consequences? This is the only place in the Bible it is recorded that Jesus said the words “Ye must”, but it speaks volumes about our Lord and His love for us. Jesus could have said many things to Nicodemus that night. Jesus could have pointed out all that was wrong with the Pharisees, could have pointed out all that was wrong with Israel, with the Priesthood, with Rome, with world conditions, Jesus could have said many tings to Nicodemus. What Jesus did say was the most important thing because Jesus had a burden for the soul of that Pharisee. Jesus still has a burden for souls today, there is still the heart of God to save today, there is still power in the blood of Christ today. I say that because there are many things we can talk about today, corrupt government, an anti American congress, the weak condition of the church, and on and on we can go. But what we need to talk about the most is the need of man to be born again. Don’t lose sight of the real need of man, the words of Jesus need to be echoed today, there is the great need of telling to gospel message so man can be born again.
