Acts 4:13-14 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

The words “They could say nothing against it” does not mean they didn’t try. The religious leaders of the day did all they could to discredit what the apostles preached and said, just as they did with Jesus. But try as they might they could not quiet the truth of the gospel message. Nothing has changed today, the world, the false church, religion, all try and discredit true Christianity, discredit the Bible, discredit the gospel. But it cannot be done, why? Because we stand as born again believers on the Word of God and that Word stands forever. Never be ashamed of the gospel because man can say nothing against it.
