8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

It is no shame for the Christian to be in need of revival, the shame is when we do not want revival. David stood in the midst of trouble, David realized he needed revival. What was the source of his trouble? We do not know. It could have been sin, it could have been sloth, it could have been an attack from the enemy, it could have been David was just worn down from his duties as king. Whatever the reason, David needed revival and David was not ashamed of the need, he called out to God. To say we have no need of revival is to place ourselves above the great heroes of faith we see in the Bible. One thing they had in common was the need, they also knew the source of revival. What do you do today concerning the need for personal revival? Do you deny the need or look to have that need met in Christ?
