Hab 3:1-2 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
KJV
A question I have heard many times over the years is “Can there be a revival in our day?” I wonder if the prophet was asked that same question in his day? We know by the Bible that the days will grew darkest just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself asked in Luke if there would still be faith in the earth just before His Second Coming. Can there still be revival? The prophet understood that revival could not come apart from prayer. One reason we see so little in the way of revival today is that there is so little prayer going up to God concerning revival. If we want to be revived we must continue in prayer, we must seek God in prayer, we must be open before God in prayer. The first step in revival is being willing to pray for one, are you willing?
