Luke 15:7-10
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
KJV
Two more things that bring joy to heaven are found in these verses, actually one thing applied in two ways. Our concern for others. Notice the woman had ten pieces of silver, what difference would it make if only one was lost? Yet she searched until she found it much like the shepherd with the hundred sheep earlier in the chapter. We need to be concerned for the souls and lives of others both saved and lost. We should seek to help those who are lost find Jesus, we should be concerned. If it brings joy to heaven when one gets saved then we should do all we can to bring the lost to Jesus, that will bring joy to heaven. We should also be concerned for the brothers and sisters in Christ, some wonder, some stray, some drift away, what is our attitude? It should break our heart and without compromising the Word of God, without lowering standards of right and wrong, we should do all we can to restore that one, to bring them back. That also will bring joy to heaven. How concerned are you for those who are lost and those who have drifted away?
