2 Cor 6:14-17
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
KJV
As the difference between saved and lost is lived by the believer in Christ it makes it possible for him or her to show the world what Jesus Christ can do in a life, to show the lost the better life that can be ours in Christ. Without this separation it is impossible for anyone to see that Jesus is the better way. Why would someone want what I have as a Christian if they see no difference in me? The time is getting close when we must get a new vehicle, years and mileage have taken a toll on our car. As we begin to look we are not looking for the same thing we have, not looking for many years and high mileage, not looking for worn out parts and things that do not work, not looking for dents and dings on a car, we are looking for something different, something better. That also is what the salesman will offer me, something different and something better. Christian, when we live a separated life we can offer the lost something different and something better.
