Mark 6:30-32
30 And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
KJV
To take rest is a good thing, a needed thing. Coming off camp week many are tired and are now getting back to work and such and may think they need a rest. What I point out this morning is that while the disciples rested they did not rest from Jesus, they rested with Him. Really want your batteries recharged? Try spending more time with Jesus, try spending some quiet time with Him. Most people never really rest today. The smart phone, the TV, the PC, they do not promote rest, those things stir up instead of calming down. When in need of some rest try spending some quiet time with the Lord.
