Isa 55:7-10
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:I will often think of these verses as the different circumstances of life occur, as decisions have to be made, as I think of the path that God wants me to follow. We tend to reason things out in our minds. Things such as why this happened, what I need to do, the path I need to take and so on. But we have to remember that God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways not ours. In other words God has a plan and purpose, God has a path for us to follow, God has a work for us to do. It may not always be what we want, the way we would choose to go, or even an easy path to follow. But His thoughts are not ours, His way are not ours, they are higher than ours. His way is the better way. I was driving along the other day and turned the radio on to listen, as I was trying to find something I caught a few words from a song. I don’t know the artist or the song but the line I heard went something like this “I have friends in low places”. I at once thought I am so glad that I have a friend, I have a Savior in a high place.
