Daily Devotions
April 9th, 2010 by Pastor SolleyRom 1:14-16
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.Question; who owns your debt? Most people are in debt in one way or another in this world. House payment, car payment, credit card, rent and so on. Most people are in debt. Who owns your debt today? Not the debt of the world but your spiritual debt. Have you ever thought that you do own a debt spiritually? When we received the Lord Jesus Christ it was without payment on our part. But consider what great things Jesus did for you, is doing for you, and will do for you in the days that lie ahead. Can we really say we own Him nothing? I think not. We owe Jesus Christ a great debt. Paul knew he was a debtor, do we? Is it asking too much of us to live for Jesus, to stand for Jesus, to serve Jesus? I think not when we consider the debt we own to the Savior.
