Gen 7:13-16
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
KJV
Noah did all he could to secure salvation. He built the ark, he gathered the animals, he got his close family together, but it was not enough. God had to shut Noah in. No matter what we do we can never do enough to secure salvation. We can obey the Bible, we can go to church, we can be filled with good works, with good intentions, we can care for others, but none of that will be enough to gain salvation for salvation is of the Lord. Noah could not shut himself in that ark and neither can we secure ourselves in Christ. Until an individual place all their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone they cannot be saved. What are you doing to secure yourself in the ark today? What ever it is it needs to be set aside and you need come to Jesus Christ for He alone is able to shut you in.
