Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

Isn’t Jesus precious? If you did not answer with a yes one of two things are true. First, you are not saved. Second, you spend little to no time with Him at all. The Bible tells us that we should desire to spend time in His Word is the same way a newborn baby desire milk. Parents know the illustration well. Every few hours that baby cries out for milk, that baby is hungry, day and night, over and over again comes the cry for milk. The only way to stop the crying is to give that baby what he or she craves, milk. Do you have that desire for His Word? Do you have that desire to spend time with Jesus? Are you constantly thinking of Him? If not, no wonder you don’t know if Jesus is precious or not.
