And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
KJV
Who is it that does all things well? This is the only place in the Bible that phrase is found and it is speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ. Who else could this have been said about, who could it be said about today? Only the Lord, only Jesus, He alone does all things well. Do you believe that dear reader? Is it true? Why then do we try so many other things, turn to so many other people when we are in need, when we are distressed, when we are discouraged? If it is true, if we believe that He does all things well, then why not go to Him first, why not go to Him alone? There is great comfort, great light found when we turn to His Word, when we turn to Him in prayer. I was praying yesterday about a need that is great to me, something before me, something I need help in. In just a few hours the Lord sent someone my way. The need is still there, but I can see the hand of God working, I can see that He does all things well. All who turn completely and entirely to Him can say the very same thing, that He does all things well.
