Isa 55:8-11
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
KJV
The snow coming down this morning made me think of verses with the word snow in them and these are perhaps my favorite ones. I would rather have been done with the snow, done with winter, but His ways are above mine. If I can acknowledge that in a matter as unimportant as a snowy day then why not in the important areas of life? Yet how many times do we question God, wonder why this or that? How many times do we tell God, if not in words then in action, that we have a better way than He does? Why not just accept by faith that His ways are higher than our ways? If I can look at the snow coming down and know that His ways are above mine then I should be able to do that in every area of life.
