Rev 3:14-16
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
KJV
Almost anything is better than being indifferent. Is there church tomorrow? Who cares. Is there a need that I can help with? Who cares. Almost anything is better than being indifferent but that is what has taken over the church today, indifference. The Holy Spirit gave those words to John about 2,000 years ago but they were words for our day and age. I wonder how many professing Christian were in prayer meetings last night and of those I wonder how many could have been there but are indifferent to the open doors of the church? I wonder how much this disease of indifference I have allowed to seep into my own life? I think we can call indifference a disease because it is killing the church and killing believers spiritually as well. Yet it is a self inflected disease and one that has a ready cure. (Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.) Repent the Bible tells us. Turn away from the sin of indifference and return to Christ. Do you want to feel the presence of the Lord in your life? Do you want to know the Lord is working in your life? Do you want to feel the power of God? Then one needs to repent and return to Christ. Almost anything is better than being indifferent.
