7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;Did you know this is an important week to Christians all over the world? Watching Fox news yesterday I saw that the Catholic church was leading Christians into Holy week. How sad to think of all that Jesus suffered for men to be saved and that those leading Christians into Holy week as they said were lost and bound for a burning hell. I know this may upset some who read the post and it is not meant to do that. But people need to realize that it is Jesus Christ who saves and not a system of religion or a church. No not even the Cherry Corner Bible church. It is Jesus Christ and Him alone who suffered and died for your sin and mine. Jesus Christ and Him alone who shed His blood on the cross for you and me. And Jesus Christ and Him alone who can deliver us from sin, judgment, hell and the grave. Jesus Christ and Him alone who can take care of the matter of sin and make us fit for heaven. Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone is the author of eternal salvation. Obedience to Him in confession and repentance of sin is what saves a sinner like me. Yes I am a sinner short of God’s glory. I cannot meet the holy and righteous standard of God. But Jesus can and Jesus did and when I turned from self and sin and turned to Jesus He washed my sins away. What about you today? Do you know religion or do you know Jesus Christ. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
