Eph 6:10-17
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
KJV
A shield of faith. (Verse 16) How much of your life is covered by your shield of faith? Only as much as you live by faith. Many people claim to have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation, and it is through faith that one is saved. But then just how much of their lives are they willing to place under that faith? Have you chosen your profession guided by your faith? Have you chosen you spouse guided by your faith? Do you place your entertainment under your shield of faith? Are your friends chosen by your faith? Just how much of your life is guided by your faith? The very reason so many Christians have so much trouble in their lives is that they refuse to put all under their shield of faith. When trouble arises they are quick to blame God, but they have never stepped completely under that shield of faith. If we want victory in our Christian lives, if we want to walk upright in this spiritual battle we are in, if we don’t want to be listed among those missing in action, then we need to bring all under that shield of faith, we need to bring every area of our lives to Him and ask that shield of faith to protect and guide us.
