Ps 40:13-17
13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.
14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.
17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
KJV
This Psalm begins with patience and one thing I believe God is pleased with is when His children practice patience. God knows all about our troubles, all about our trials, worries and cares, there is nothing hidden from our God. When we patiently wait for Him, as we are commanded to do, that must please the Lord. (Ps 40:13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.) There are people I do things for as a pastor and it pleases me. They are not demanding, they do not order, they simply wait with patience. Not on me by the way, they wait on the Lord. Then there are others who seem to be so demanding, so impatient, that it is not really pleasing to do for them. I believe God feels the same about all of us. God does for all of us everyday, but with some it pleases Him, with others not so much. I want the Lord to be pleased to do for me.
