Ps 119:9-17
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
KJV
How do most people feel about the Bible? I know how most unbelievers feel about the Bible, that is on display in our society every day. I know how government feels about the Bible, that is evident in laws that they pass or will not change. But how do most professing Christians feel about the Bible? Have most Christians moved in the direction or have they remained steadfast in the Bible? David had some very insightful things to say about the Bible, about God’s Word. Above we see David took delight in the Bible, sought the Bible with his whole heart, found his rejoicing in the Bible, and lived his life by the Bible. I want to look this week at the Bible, about how different ones received or rejected the Bible, the Word of God. But let me ask you today, what do you think about the Bible? Perhaps over the next few days we can determine exactly how we feel about the Bible.
