Daily Devotions
November 20th, 2017 by Pastor SolleyPs 95:1-6
95 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

The Bible has a lot to say about thanksgiving and being thankful. One of the signs of the last days is that people will be unthankful. That should never be said of a born again believer in Christ for we do have much to be thankful for in Christ. I have heard people say that life is not always easy, I would contend that life is seldom easy. We have the world to contend with, our flesh to contend with, and the devil himself to contend with. Life in this world is most definitely is not easy when you stop to think about it. But we as Christians do have a rock upon which to stand. This rock is unmovable, dependable, eternal, this rock is Jesus Christ, the great God and King above all gods. This Thanksgiving week I want to focus on what we all have to be thankful for. I know many who read these devotions are having difficult times, yet we still can give thanks for what we have in Christ. Today let us focus on salvation, upon what Christ went through for us, for you personally and individually. A great price was paid just so you would have the opportunity to be saved. Then the Holy Spirit convicted you of sin and drew you to Christ. Then when you asked Jesus saved. Today focus on salvation and what you have to be thankful for.
