Matt 24:11-13
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
KJV
One of the signs of the nearness of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is the increase of sinful activities in this world. (Iniquity shall abound.) Sin has been a part of this world since the Garden of Eden and the fall of man. Things got so bad at one point that God destroyed this world by a flood. I wonder how things could have been worse in Noah’s day than they are today with the way Satan and sin have taken over every part of this world. Mass shooting for no reason, hate between races and religions, acts of terror, abortion, child abuse, the tattoo and piercing craze, all of those things, including the last two, products of Satanic activity. Couple those things with the fact that most preachers will say nothing against any of those with any conviction and we see what Jesus said in Matthew 24 coming to pass right before our eyes. This both saddens and excites me. It excites me because it tells me our time in this world is short, very short it would seem. It saddens me because of the millions and millions of people in America alone who will be lost and go to hell because they have not received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. The false prophets today which include the leaders of the new and emerging church are deceiving people into thinking things are getting better while all the time they are getting worse. But we are to endure to the end the Bible says. How they do we endure, what are we to be doing? We are to stay faithful in walk and service to the Lord until the end.
