1 Peter 3:15
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
KJB
This verse contains the last use of the word hope found in the Bible. What do you hope for today? Many people hope in the lottery, others hope for good health, what do you hope for today? For the Christian hope is or at least should be different. Our hope is not based on good luck, not on circumstances or any of the things the world hopes in. Our hope is in a person, our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ and that makes hope, our hope, different. For the world hope always holds an element of doubt, something may or may not take place. But for the Christian hope points to something sure and steadfast, something that will happen. That is again because our hope in in Christ, the hope that is within you. I am going to look at hope this week, the hope that is in the Christian. For today take some time and look towards the things you know are going to take place one day, look to your hope.
