13 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

How long does the missionary continue in his or her work? If it is God who initiated the call, then it can be only God who can end it. Full and life time service for the Lord means exactly that, full time and for the lifetime. I am not saying that a time will not come when the missionary because of age or illness cannot do what he or she once did. But I am saying that a call will not end because of either one of those things. We support some very young missionaries through our local church, and some aged ones as well. The aged ones cannot do what the younger ones are doing, something things have passed them. But that does not mean they are of any less value in the work of the Lord. What some have lost through advancing years has been more than made up for in experience. Paul served his entire life on that mission field God called him to. Yes, his life was cut short by the Roman chopping block, but I am sure that if it had not been he still would have served his entire life. A call from God cannot come to an end until God calls it back.

?When I was reading this passage it in Acts 8:12-17 Why didn’t the men and women that believed and were baptized by Philip didn’t receive the Holy Ghost until Peter and John came and touch them to be filled with the Holy Ghost?

Peter received the keys of the gospel, so it was Peter who opened the door to the Holy Ghost as well. First on the day of Pentecost, then in Acts 8 to the Samaritans, and also in Acts 10 to the Gentiles.
