May 3rd, 2017 by Pastor SolleyPs 3:1-6 3 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
KJV
It is so very easy to get frustrated and discouraged in this world today. We have the political left with protests and riots over things that are basic to mankind that they want taken away. We have the advance of satanic activities manifested in so many whys, the depths of evil people have sunk to. We have the normal trials and tribulations of life. Like David we can say “How are they increased that trouble me!” We can feel as David felt and perhaps we have voices telling is “There is no hope.” But there is my Christian brother or sister, there is hope and victory to be found in Jesus Christ. He is our shield, He is our glory, He is the one who will lift up your head. Even in the midst of all his troubles David could close his eyes and sleep because he knew who was taking care of him, who was sustaining him. Can you say the same thing today? Each and every one of us have troubles today, all of us. And none of us really know what goes on deep inside anyone but ourselves. But our God knows, our dear Savior knows and He is there to sustain us. We have no reason to fear, even if ten thousand people stand before us, for our God is our shield. What a blessed truth.
