April 20th, 2017 by Pastor SolleyPs 127 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

The Bible has a lot to say about sleep, that would being found 82 times in the Bible, and a lot to say about the beloved, that word being found 111 times in the Bible. But in Psalm 127 we find the only place those two words are used together. (Verse 2) What is the key to having good sleep? We find in this Psalm that it is reserved for those who place their lives in the capable hands of the Lord. (Verse 1) This is not only a verse that applies to family but to every area of our lives. People have many troubles today, more today than any other time, any other generation in my opinion. In these last days the spirit of iniquity is abounding as the Bible says. As Satan sees his time drawing to an end his attacks on all that is good and Godly have grown more and more fierce. These are difficult days in many ways. But the power of God, the love of God, the grace of God has not diminished in any way, our God is still the King of kings and Lord of lords, He and He alone sits on the throne. You want to have good sleep even in these last days? Let the Lord build your house, every part of it.
