Mark 11:22-24 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
KJV
One thing that hinders the prayers of the Christian is our unbelief. The reading this morning does not mean that we will receive all that we ask God for in our lives. We still need to pray in the will of God, we still need to pray according to His will and for His glory. But there are many times when we pray, at least in my life, that our prayers are hindered by our own unbelief. If I don’t believe He can provide, then why even pray? We need to pray with the utmost confidence that God can and will answer our prayers. For some on my prayer list I am praying for a healing, can God heal? In some areas I am praying for direction, can God direct my path? In other areas I am praying that God move the hearts of people, can God do that? I am praying for provision, can God provide? If I don’t believe God can do all these things then why pray? I must trust, I must give it all over to Him, but I must also believe that my God is able because He is. Don’t let unbelief and doubt hinder your prayers.
