March 28th, 2017 by Pastor SolleyPs 63:1-6 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Some more thoughts on seeking the Lord. Here we find that those who seek the Lord do it early. It is not impossible to find the Lord later in life, many do, but it is much more likely to find Him early in life. Why is it so important to bring our children to the Lord? Because it is more likely that they find Him, find God early in life. There is also the thought that we need make time for the Lord at the beginning of our day and if we do that it will be easier to walk close to Him throughout the day. Both thoughts are in verse one. Hose who have lived 50, 60 ears without the Lord see no reason to seek Him late in life. When we begin our day without Him it seems we never find the time to spend with Him. Understand that if we want to see the power of God in our lives, if we want to walk in His glory, we need to seek Him early. (Verses 1 -2) Do you stop and make time for the Lord at the beginning of your day? Try it, even if you only have a few moments, give them to the Lord at the beginning of your day and see if your days go better.
