February 28th, 2017 by Pastor SolleyRom 8:26-29 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn

One reason we turn to family in times of troubles is because they love us so much, but even then their help is limited. Limited because they do not have a full understanding of our emotions, our doubts and fears, and limited because they can only do so much. But what of the Holy Spirit of God, is He also limited in understanding, is He limited in love? Keep in mind that although we have a triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, they cannot be separated in power, in love, in compassion. What is true of the Father is also true of the Son and Holy Spirit. What is true of the Son is also true of the Father and Holy Spirit. Does then the Holy Spirit love us? Enough to die and then live for us. Yes, Jesus Christ did those things, but you cannot separate the love of Christ for us from the love of the Holy Spirit. Does the Father understand what we are going through? Yes, but you cannot separate the all-knowing nature of the Father from the Holy Spirit. We then do have one that loves us with an everlasting and unconditional love there to help us in our hour of need. We also have one who knows everything and all about us and our trials there to help us in our hour of need. We then need to turn to Him, to the Holy Spirit, to the Father, to the Lord Jesus Christ, turn to the one who is able to help and care for us as no one else. When is trials do you pray more or pray less? When in trials do you read your Bible more or read it less? When in trials do you meditate more on the things of God, or less? Never turn away from that one who is there to help, do the things that allow Him to help us.
