37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.When the children of Israel went up out of Egypt they went with a “mixed multitude”. Many thing that some Egyptians went with them and so they were mixed. But there is a different truth here. In Israel there was a mixed multitude. In other words all were of Israel but not all were for the Lord. All of Israel but not all spiritual. Some were just along for the ride. And this mixed multitude would show itself along the way. Show itself in complaining about the water, about the food, about the leadership and so on. This mixed multitude caused the people much trouble. Christian don’t be of a mixed multitude today. As we claim the name of Jesus Christ let us walk fully in Christ. Let us be given to Him, serve Him, obey Him and walk with Him. We don’t mind claiming His name on Sunday so let us walk in His light on Monday. The mixed multitude is causing the church much trouble today and destroying homes and families. Let us leave the mixed multitude in Egypt.
